”Playing the piano can sound like a threatening thunder, a birdsong, or a rock band.”
Pianists usually start playing at ages 5 through 7, but you can also start later or earlier at ages 3 through 4 at Suzuki instruction. You will learn the piano in private lessons and/or in groups. The piano is an excellent solo instrument, but it is well-suited for ensemble playing as well. You can play all kinds of music on the piano: classical pieces, pop and rock, accompanying songs, and improvising.
Regular practice on a good acoustic piano helps to learn the proper playing technique. You will have fun in your lessons and won’t be afraid of performing either. A new piano costs around 4,000 euros, a used one much less.
